It’s been another busy week in a month of busy weeks! We started the week off at the Annual Hyannis Father’s Day Car Show on Sunday. There were over 400 fabulous cars lining both sides of Main Street Hyannis – everything from a Powerwagon school bus to a beautifully restored Bentley and everything in between. It was great to meet and greet so many people out on Main Street and the weather was great!
On Monday after work, I headed over to the Cape Cod Community Media Center studios in South Yarmouth to tape a community access show with County Commissioner Bill Doherty called “Political Patter.” Keep your eye out for the show on your local Cape access channel. Bill Doherty will be featuring other Republican candidates from across the Cape on other episodes. After taping the show, I went over to Barnstable High School for a community forum on suicide prevention put on by the Cape & Islands Suicide Prevention Coalition.
Tonight, I am attending Jim Crocker’s kickoff event at Alberto’s Restaurant in Hyannis from 6-8 PM. Jim Crocker, a fellow Barnstable Town Councilor, is running against Eric Steinhilber in the Republican Primary for the Cape and Islands District State Senate seat.
The rest of the week will be spent at various other political and community events, with lots of door knocking, too!
On Sunday, I will be at the Annual Cape Cod Chowder Festival at the Melody Tent in Hyannis enjoying some great clam chowder and ice cream! Hope to see you there!
